Members of Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue would like to thank all those who helped “Fill the Boot” during the 2016 Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) fundraiser this summer. This year, Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue collected a total of $20,048 for the MDA. During 2015, the community donated $16,602 during the Fill the Boot fundraiser.
“Thanks to the generosity of the community over the past nine years, members of Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue have been able to help support the MDA’s efforts to conquer neuromuscular disease,” explained Firemedic Mike Passafaro, local MDA coordinator.
The International Association of Firefighters has been a national sponsor of the MDA since 1954. This is Pleasant Prairie’s ninth year participating in Fill-the-Boot. The department has plans to participate in the fundraiser during next year’s campaign.
Members of the department would like to extend their special thanks to Culvers of Pleasant Prairie and Urban Culture for their support of the 2016 Fill the Boot fundraiser. Your support made a great difference in the success of this year’s campaign.
